I've suggested it before in the original PTPHL, but maybe I'll get a different reception this time. After two drafts in most leagues, the players we draft are not real life players and are instead generated by EHM which is generally a snore. I suggest we give the draft some more realism and have each GM create a player in the draft (maybe two, whatever the Commish would be up for). I think this would be a nice way to bring more balance to positions in the game, generally in leagues quality defenemen and centerman become sparse and this is a way to remedy that. We would post a scouting report of our player, and the Commish would give him ceilings accordingly. In example-
Scouting Report
Eddy Schneider Position: D Height: 6'3 Weight: 220 Player Type: Defensive defenseman Pros: He plays to his size, he has no problem throwing punishing checks. He seldom is caught out of position, and he will do anything to help his team win. Whether he has to start a fight, block a shot, or draw a penalty, he will do it. A vocal leader, he is captain material once he develops in the NHL. Cons: Due to his size, his skating can leave much to be desired. Even though he is rarely out of position, sometimes he gets burned by a quick forward on the rush. He is prone to sometimes taking bad penalties due to his bad temper. Plays like: Adam Foote/ Derian Hatcher
Obviously names will need to be policed, but I think most in the league are mature enough to not say they want their characters named Dildo Skywalker

Im going to be including real life prospects from the 2013-2014 draft into the draft class here, and there are a few guys for the 2015 like Connor McDavid who I could also add in once we reach season three. That said, I could see this being maybe like, a GM reward. After you draft a player you can change their name to whatever you want. That's what I would suggest.
Also, I'd totally draft Dildo Skywalker .

Only question is how do we decide the rankings? By this, everyone could make a perfect player and a player drafted at #1 could equal a player drafted at #30. Also, is there a fair way to decide who's player gets to be top10 .. I don't really care, but someone else might Unless I'm missing something Otherwise, great idea. We did it in HASL.

We'll just do a lottery

yeah just because we make players they will still have to be edited some by commish or alex so they aren't all elite level players
